Public Health

 Public health information architectures are still in the process of evolution. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has developed a number of specific communication programs for reportable data such as National Epidemiology Data Support System (NEDSS), etc and is working to produce a national model for the information of interest to public health. This model will center on the EHR as a source of reportable data as depicted in the following link.
